Sedation and Comfort

Dental anxiety is commonly felt by many because of the fear of needles or bad experiences in the past. Worse, this can lead to a neglect of dental office visits and a worsening of oral hygiene, which can lead to pain and tooth loss. In order to help you overcome your dental anxiety, along with a patient and understanding staff, we can offer you the following in the office:

  • having nitrous oxide gas (laughing gas) on during any dental procedures

  • having soft blankets and pillows on the dental chair

  • using stress squeeze balls, headphones and earplugs

  • having hot herbal tea and water if requested

  • IV sedation through Elite Anesthesia during the dental procedures to achieve a deeper level of sedation

    • IV sedation is a type of anesthesia that can be used during dental procedures to help patients feel calm and comfortable. It's also known as "twilight sleep" or "twilight anesthesia".

    • Anesthesia is administered through an IV line

    • The patient is conscious but relaxed

    • The patient may not remember much of the procedure
